Update on Aunt Lucille Seifert 4-07-11

Mother is back at Holmgreen  Health  Center.  She has not been eating very well and has become somewhat weak.  She eats more if one of us are with her when she is served her meal.  I’ll be taking buttermilk to her tomorrow, and Elaine is taking Cashew Nuts to supplement what she is served.  She will continue to get the I.V. antibiotics the rest of this week, and then will get two more weeks of oral antibiotics.

Her cell phone number is (361) 543-0019.  She has some trouble with the cell phone, so if you cannot get her on the cell, you can get her by doing the following:

call Holmgreen Health Center at one of the following numbers:  (361) 887-2000 or (361) 884-3320.  The operator may answer “Trinity Towers”.  If this happens, then you will have to request 4th floor Holmgreen Health Center.  When the transferred call is answered, you will need to request that the portable phone be taken to Mrs. Seifert in room 422.

We get frustrated in trying to call mom.  Last night Carol tried to call her and couldn’t get her, nor could Elaine get her this morning.  When Elaine got to the room, she found the cell phone in the pocket of mother’s robe. (After mother told Elaine that it must have been stolen when she was transferred from the hospital yesterday afternoon.)

Pray for us!  Mom’s a handful.  Ralph and I are trying to get a small garden planted on her deck before she comes home.  We have tomatoes and onions planted.  If I can catch a break tomorrow, I’ll get her lettuce and mustard greens planted in the pots.
