This is a traumatic experience for someone who understands smoke signals better then technology. I intend to be a total nuisance to the Rush boys, who are obviously computer savvy, and ask them for innumerable assistance in my endeavors.

Little John and wife Taylor are going to have more additions to their family…TWINS…. Little John is Tami’s son, Tressye’s Grandson. This will be 4 and 5 for Tami…They have a 2 year old, Jayleigh Rhea.
Eric Moore is safely back from Iraq. He spent six weeks there with the Tulsa Air National Guard. It was the third time he has been deployed. Eric- Lynna Moore- Jonell Cline, Edith Wilson.

Our son Mark Ayers II joined the army and flew out on October 1st. He is currently in Boot Camp at Fort Jackson South Carolina. He is doing well. He will be graduating in December some time. We do not know the date yet.He will then be stationed at Fort Sill in OK where he will be doing his specialty training. Ya’ll be praying for him.

I had read on a genealogy site a comment about Mama Carr pedding apples from a buggy. I asked my mother(Juanita Rush) about that, and this is her response:
This is quite true. She drove two horses (a team) and a wagon, not a buggy. We never owned a buggy. Buggies cost more than we had. A wagon was used on the farm for all sorts of work and also for transportation if you could not afford a car. (more…)

Lisa Boswell Lakotish meets former USS Carr crew member.
I was waiting at a favorite restaurant in Bernalillo, NM Sunday when I saw a man warring a USS CARR hat.
I spoke with him and found out he was on the ship a few years ago. He knew the history of the ship. I told him how I was related to Paul Carr. It was a nice conversation.

Braden Levi Kendall was born 6:01pm June 28, 2008 weighing 8lb 7 oz. and 24 inches long.
Parents are Bethany and Jarrod Kendall. Proud Great-grandparents are Harry and Peggy Dodd. Proud Aunts are Autumn and Trinity Tinsley. The name Levi was chosen to honor their mother, Judy Dodd Tinsley. With each of Judy’s three pregnancies she had chosen Levi as a boys name but was blessed with three beutiful girls instead. Little Braden Levi will have the name his Grandmother Judy loved.
