EULOGY OF JOAN FRAME  WRITTEN BY JOAN AND READ AT HER FUNERAL BY GRANDDAUGHTER BROOKLIN GREEN

” THE JOYFUL TRIP”

I had a happy childhood with loving parents.  I always knew I was loved and cared for.  Even though we were very poor, this did not affect my sense of well being.     School was a good fun experience.  I mad some dear life-long friends.

Then, a  “WOW EVENT ”  A cute little guy named Bobby Joe, called “Scrube” by his friends.  His blue eyes, sweet smile, pompadour Fonzie hair style kept in place by Wildroot Hair Cream.

I ADORED HIM.  I was blessed to share his smile, his touch, his hugs with complete adoration and respect during our marriage union of 44 years.  He was a good provider, worker, who took care of business, putting God, Family,  and work in its proper order.  Then came those four children–two girls, two boys–beautiful, healthy, blessings from GOD.  But oh how busy they were, teaching us all of those family life experiences–good, bad, funny, sometimes ridiculous–cages of quail hanging on my clothes line, the swimming pool full of turtles (guess who, Bobby, only a Bobby thing).  Buying and bringing in a cattle trailer to Checotah carrying a real live safari African lion.  Tim and Mike Garrett’s “big business”, going to make big $$$, and my beautiful girls–their Dad’s greatest treasure.  Diane, the first born girl in the Frame family since the early 1900’s.  A beautiful baby, obedient, bright, well beloved young lady overnight.  Then came our last child, a lovely baby girl.  Rebecca “Becky”, her daddy’s pet, the “Baby Girl”, and apple of his eye.  They loved pleasing each other.  Then all those healthy, happy, onery grandkids and great grands.  WOW.

What wonderful times we all had as family– eating, playing, sharing our successes and failures with gusto, kindness and compassion, but all that pales compared to the great love GOD has for us–HIS children, HIS family.

I became obedient to the Gospel, baptized into Christ in 1951.  The word of GOD inspired, excited, and overwhelmed me.  The realization of GOD’s love, wanting to talk to me through HIS word, wanting me to be happy and telling me how to live so I could come back and live with HIM in that Mansion in the sky.

I’ve tried to live all these wonderful truths before my family.  There is where real happiness lies.  I hope they are wise enough to grasp, live, and hold on tight to these truths.

Now don’t be too sad too long.–remember and rejoice,  I’ve met the MAIN MAN  HE smiled, reached out HIS hand and said  “Come on in blessed of my FATHER, take your inheritance, the Kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world”

We walked and talked and went to the home HE had prepared for me.  Bob was already there, waiting for me.   HALLELUJAH TIME!!

Now remember family and friends, live, love, laugh, but always center it around CHRIST.

In Christian Love,

JOAN FRAME
