Today we went to the surgeon’s office for a post-operative exam and to get the pathology results of the biopsies of the sentinel lymph node (SNLB) and the tissue removed via the lumpectomy.

Where do I begin….
Let’s start with the good news – CT Scans and Bone scans all came back clear – So no other cancer is detected!!! Praise God!
Last Monday I had surgery to place the port – Ouch!! I am still black, blue, green and purple on my right side. (more…)

Well it has been a busy week and it is only Wednesday!
Today Jeff and I met my oncologist. His name is Dr Alan Keller (no relation to Helen – Jeff’s joke). We both really liked him and he was very excited about my case!

The year we spent planning and working on the Carr Reunion has deepened my appreciation of her. She embraces serving others with such energy and always exhibits God’s love to those around her. Mother was told last Friday that there is a good amount of arthritis in her left hip, right knee and right elbow, in addition, she has tennis elbow in the right elbow. She has been making two different quilts, one for Levi and Kayla and one for David and Jenifer. They are simple squares, but sitting at her sewing machine too long is catching up with her. She is probably getting closer to another back surgery as well. She has vertical compression fractures on each of (more…)
